North House Gallery Midwinter Show

Mitsushige Nishiwaki's large etchings in the past have beeen intriguingly put together from various small sheets but now he has a much bigger etching press he has sent three huge etchings from Japan, two in one piece (Metro and Heinz Tomato Ketchup) and one, double the size, a dyptych (Kew). Tim Southall's etchings are much smaller and largely monochrome but contain a wealth of witty detail. The Norman Ackroyd collection includes three boxed sets from 1973, 2008 and 2010 as well as a some of the most sought after individual etchings. Adrian August is a retired surgeon who has taken up ceramics in a passionate way and produces stoneware bowls and other vessels with brightly coloured glazes. These will be complemented by some of the wall-mounted constructions from Esmond Bingham's preceding successful show.
