Veg Seed Sowing Masterclass

Spend a day with us at our Suffolk HQ and leave with the skills and confidence to make this your best growing year yet. Spring is when every grower makes their plans, and the choices you make at the start shape everything you harvest later. Spend a day with us at our Suffolk HQ and leave with the skills and confidence to make this your best growing year yet. Our co-founder Lucy opens the day with an introduction to heirloom varieties: where they come from, why we love them, and why they’re worth growing over anything on the supermarket shelf. Then we get stuck in. You’ll find out exactly what to sow now, how succession sowing keeps your plot productive all year, and the propagation tips we use every day to raise strong, healthy seedlings. Then it’s your turn to get your hands in the compost. You’ll sow your own seed tray in our polytunnel with us right there to help, and take it home to grow on. What’s included • A full day in a small group of no more than 20 growers with She Grows Veg co-founder Lucy Hutchings and our team • Tea and homemade cake when you arrive and again in the afternoon • A heirloom veg soup and salad lunch • A seed tray full of seeds you’ve sown yourself, to take home and grow on • Your own She Grows Veg organic cotton tote bag • A tour of our trial garden • Time to browse our pop up shop, with anything you buy going home with you Good to know We’ll spend most of the day in our polytunnel, so dress for the weather. That means layers, sturdy shoes, and something waterproof if the sky looks moody - although we will be mostly under cover! Tunnels can be properly warm on a sunny day too. Please tell us about any dietary needs or access requirements when you book. Workshops held at She Grows Veg HQ, East Bergholt Place, Mill Road, East Bergholt, CO7 6UP from 10am-3pm · £175 per person (can be bought as a gift) Any questions, email [email protected] Twenty places, one day, and a whole season of growing ahead of you.
