Beginners Lino Print Workshop

Learn to Lino print in this beginner friendly class! Spend the morning getting inky! and learn how to design, carve and print your own designs using the lino cut technique. In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn: • How to create a design perfect for lino print • How to transfer your drawing onto lino • How to carve a lino block, and use different techniques to create interesting patterns • How to mix inks to create your own colours • How to print your designs • How to sign and edition your prints • As well as an edition of your own beautiful artwork, you will also take home a fact sheet - with hints and tips on how to print at home, where to buy supplies, and artists to look at for inspiration. We will be using safe wash inks in this workshop, but we still advise that you bring an apron - or wear clothes you don't mind getting inky.
