Fancy a morning of creativity, coffee and a little time for yourself? Take a break from the everyday and enjoy a relaxing morning of crafting, friendly conversation and a cuppa! Join us at Long Eaton Art Room for Coffee & Crafts – our relaxed, welcoming creative mornings where you can try something new, unwind and enjoy a little creative time in good company. Our 11 March craft is beaded hermit crabs! Get creative with a colourful selection of beads, wire and real shells to make your own quirky little hermit crab. You’ll bring your crab to life by shaping the wire and adding beads to create its legs and details, finishing it off with a real shell for its very own home. Each one will have its own personality, making it a fun and unusual decoration to take home! Bring your friends along or come on your own and make some new ones. Lindsay and Julia will guide you through the activity, providing all the instructions and materials you need. There’s no need to be an experienced crafter – beginners are very welcome! Our sessions are open to everyone. Whether you fancy a couple of hours doing something just for you, enjoy getting creative with others, homeschool your children and would like some creative time for yourself, or want to come along with your support worker, you’ll find a warm welcome here. We believe creativity can have a wonderfully positive effect on our wellbeing, and Coffee & Crafts is all about enjoying the process, having a go and spending time together. There’ll be plenty of time for a coffee, a chat and perhaps a biscuit or two while we craft away. No need to invest in tools or materials – just turn up and get creative!
