Racket & Connect - Pickleball

Part of the Social Prescribing Hub, our friendship sessions run across Rushcliffe and surrounding areas to support wellbeing and connections Racket & Connect - Pickleball Looking for a fun way to get active and meet new people? Come along to our Pickleball Taster Session and discover one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK! Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, making it easy to learn and enjoyable for all ages and abilities. It's played on a smaller court with a paddle and lightweight ball, making it less physically demanding than some racket sports while still providing a great workout. Pickleball England Qualified and Tournament Medallist coach, Julian Buck, (www.PickleballWithJulian.com) will be leading the session, guiding you through the rules, basic techniques, and gameplay. Whether you've never picked up a paddle before or you're looking to improve your skills, this session is suitable for beginners and experienced players alike. Exclusively for Rushcliffe 18 + residents registered with a Rushcliffe GP. Only one booking is permitted per person. Additional bookings may be cancelled to ensure fairness. There is a small donation-based contribution to secure your place, which helps cover the cost of running the session on a per-person basis. No profit is made from these sessions, and the contribution helps keep them running and accessible through social prescribing at a reduced rate. We want our sessions to be accessible to everyone. If cost is a barrier, please get in touch - we’re happy to support you to attend. All bookings are non-refundable. Follow us on Facebook: @RushcliffeSP or visit Social Prescribing Hub for updates.
