Seasonal Soups & Sauces Cooking Class

Join us at Pippley Cookery School for our Seasonal Soups & Sauces Cooking Workshop here in Nottingham. September sees the return of the slow cooker in kitchens up and down the country. It’s one of the best ways keep your fruit and veg intake up during winter, and nothings quite as wholesome as a good soup and crusty roll. If you’re not sure where to start, we’ll be teaching you what works together. Which flavours complement which textures and all the other tips and tricks you need to make the perfect soups and sauces. In the morning you’ll learn how to finely chop veg and select your soup base. While the soups are simmering, you’ll get to enjoy some homemade fresh soup and a crusty roll from our chef. Then it’s onto a garden tour with our head gardener before heading back to the marquee to watch the chefs do a masterclass on croutons. Join us for foraging, chopping, seasoning and stirring in September and be ready for the winter chills! Children from 12-15 are very welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult also participating in the course. Wheelchair friendly site. Guide dogs welcome.
