THE CORNHILL MONSTER INCUBATION LAB Deep beneath Cornhill Market, hidden beyond the old brick arches and forgotten tunnels, lies a secret laboratory with a very unusual problem. For years, Cornhill's scientists have been monitoring strange magical energy that drifts through the market every autumn. At first it seemed harmless. There was the occasional glowing cobblestone, mysterious sparkles floating through the air, and pumpkins that grew in the most peculiar shapes. But last year, something changed. The magic began to grow. It swirled through the market stalls, crackled between the historic buildings and gathered deep below Cornhill. When the scientists investigated, they made a remarkable discovery. Cornhill wasn't being haunted. Cornhill was hatching. Hidden beneath the market, strange monster eggs had begun to appear. Friendly but mischievous creatures were emerging from pure autumn magic. Some were fluffy. Some were slimy. Some had tentacles. Some had far too many eyes. One was discovered to be almost entirely made of glitter. The monsters aren't dangerous. They're simply unfinished. The scientists quickly realised they couldn't manage the growing number of creatures alone. The monsters need incubating, studying, feeding, growing and carefully monitored before they can safely join the world above. That's where you come in. For one week only, the Cornhill Monster Incubation Laboratory is opening its doors to recruit a new generation of Junior Scientists. Working alongside our team of Mad Scientists, you'll help care for and develop the latest generation of Cornhill Monsters through a series of exciting laboratory experiments. Choose Your Mission Monster Pumpkin Incubation Transform a mysterious monster egg into your very own creature. Decorate your pumpkin, add monster features and officially register your new companion with the laboratory before taking it home. Monster Growth Potion Laboratory Mix colourful magical ingredients and shimmering formulas to create powerful monster growth potions and experimental elixirs. Monster Fossil Excavation Unearth hidden monster specimens buried beneath Cornhill. Use excavation tools to carefully reveal your discovery and help scientists identify the creature. Cloud Slime Research Facility Create and investigate rare monster slime samples. Add colours, textures and secret ingredients before safely storing your specimen to take home. What to Expect • 45-minute interactive scientist-led experience • Mad Scientists in character throughout the session • Hands-on monster-themed activities • Take-home creations • Official Monster Laboratory certificates • Suitable for children aged 4+ (some activities are recommended for ages 5+) • All children must be accompanied by an adult Important Information • Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. • Capacity is limited to 12 Junior Scientists per session. • Please arrive 5 minutes before your session start time. • Activities may involve paints, slime ingredients, glitter, food colouring and other craft materials. • Aprons and protective equipment will be provided where appropriate. Terms & Conditions • All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the session. • Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times. • Suitable for children aged 4+. • Some activities contain small parts and are recommended for children aged 5+. • Every reasonable effort will be made to protect clothing through the use of aprons and table coverings. However, activities involve paints, slime ingredients, glitter, food colourings and craft materials. • Cornhill Market and event organisers accept no liability for damage to clothing, footwear or personal belongings. • We recommend participants wear suitable clothing that can get messy. • Parents and guardians are responsible for notifying staff of any allergies, medical conditions or sensitivities before participation. • Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organiser. • Activities and materials may vary slightly from those advertised. • Photography and videography may take place for promotional purposes.
