Make your own Magic Bag

Get crafty and design your very own magical bag to show off your unique style and creativity! Join us at The Reading Room for a creative sewing workshop where you'll make your very own magical bag, perfect for keeping spells and potions, lucky charms, tricks and treats, or any other special treasures. You'll learn how to sew a simple drawstring pouch bag, then let your imagination run wild as you decorate it with magical symbols, totem charms and other special details. Whether you're a budding witch, a lover of all things magical, or simply enjoy making things, this is a chance to create something truly unique. We'll be using upcycled and scrap fabrics, giving old materials a new lease of life. And once you've learnt the basics, you'll be able to make more bags at home, perhaps to hold your own treasures or to give as handmade gifts. All materials are provided, so just bring your imagination and a little sprinkle of magic! Please note: This workshop is suitable for children aged 7 and upwards, young people and young adults. No younger siblings, please. An accompanying adult must remain on the premises during the workshop. Come along, get creative and leave with a magical handmade bag of your very own!
