St Barnabas Hospice Torchlight Procession 2026

Join us at the Torchlight Procession where 1,200 people walk together to remember their loved ones in support of St Barnabas Hospice. The Torchlight Procession is the most poignant event in the St Barnabas calendar, and now in its 26th year. This unique and iconic celebration is an opportunity for families and friends to join us in remembering the people that we love. The transfer of light throughout the event is symbolic; the flaming torch is carried by runners from our Lincoln Inpatient Unit on Nettleham Road to Claytons where it is used to light the procession torches. Once all torches are lit, the procession will commence from Clayton Sports Ground at 7:30pm led by the RAF Waddington Pipe Band. We will journey past the Inpatient Unit, pausing for a moment of reflection, before moving onto Lincoln Cathedral. The event concludes with a service where the Tree of Life will be illuminated.
