Afternoon with a Vulcan Navigator: Hear the Story, Fly the Vulcan

Don will share first-hand experiences from his time operating as part of a Vulcan crew during the Cold War, followed by an audience Q&A session. After the presentation, guests will move from hearing about the aircraft to experiencing it. Working together as a team, you’ll take part in a short low-level Vulcan flight in the FlightDeck PC simulator, using communication, navigation and teamwork to complete the mission. Don’s published recollections cover RAF navigation training, operational Vulcan service, Quick Reaction Alert, low-level flying and overseas operations, giving guests a rare opportunity to hear directly from someone who lived that history.
