Delamere Forest

A ramble around Delamere Forest, a shady oasis in the midst of the agricultural landscape of the Cheshire Plain Welcome to Freshwalks. This event is part of our vibrant Merseyside business community programme delivered in collaboration with DJH, Bathgate Business Finance and Cummins Financial Advisers. Everyone is welcome to join us for a day of hiking and networking in the great outdoors. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company. Route description We’re heading to Delamere Forest, a shady oasis in the midst of the agricultural landscape of the Cheshire Plain. The forest provides many gentle paths and trails ideal for accessible and inclusive walking. There are dry sandstone paths, lots of mature trees to shade or shelter under and Blakemere Moss is an ideal lake for bird watchers. In addition, Old Pale provides a superb walk with spectacular views extending as far as Liverpool’s famous skyline of cathedrals and harbour buildings. Our proposed 13km route starts and finishes at The Carriers Inn on Hatchmere Lake and is mostly flat.
