Intro to Scotch Whisky

Join us to explore the vast flavours and stories behind Scotland’s best whiskies in a informative but casual tasting session. At HopScotch, we're always hosting tastings with industry experts who come down to showcase some seriously amazing whisky, however, these tastings are designed with whisky enthusiasts in mind - people who have been around the whisky block a good number of times. What we've always wanted to do is bridge the gap between the whisky-curious and whisky lover, to create a set of tastings that allow people to dip their toes into the whisky world, but keep it interesting enough so that even if you've got a bit of experience with whisky, you'll still be trying bottles that you've likely not come across before. We'll be kicking off in December with an 'Intro to Scotch Whisky', where we'll break down what this spirit is all about, do away with outdated ideas, and we'll teach you how to taste and think about whisky, rather than parrot the same old information that does the rounds. Your ticket price will include: - A guided walk through 5 whiskies - A small graze board (think meat, cheese, olives, crackers)* Of course the usual range of items will be available on the back bar to accompany your whiskies (beer, soft drinks, cocktails etc!), so if you fancy bringing a friend along for company, and not on the tasting, please add on additional numbers on the option below. Tickets are £25pp, and we'll be kicking off at 3pm on Saturday 5th December. We look forward to welcoming you in! *please get in touch in advance if any special dietary requirements need to be catered to.
