The Bookish Day Out | Romance, Fantasy & Spicy Books – Ellesmere Port

A fun, intimate bookish day out for romance, fantasy and spicy-fiction readers, with games, goodies, food and bookish chaos. Love romance, romantasy, paranormal romance, fantasy and spicy fiction? The Bookish Day Out is a relaxed, intimate event for readers who want more than a quick browse round a crowded hall. Come spend the day at The Amber Lounge in Ellesmere Port with other book lovers who understand the obsession with morally questionable fictional men, impossible standards, favourite tropes and books you absolutely should not have stayed up until 2am finishing. Hosted by indie author Cassie Carter, the day will include bookish games and activities, plenty of time to chat and meet other readers, food, goodies, books and a few appropriately chaotic extras along the way. This isn’t a formal literary festival, a business event or a huge convention where you spend half the day queuing. It’s deliberately smaller, warmer and more personal... the kind of event where you can actually talk to people, join in and feel part of the room. You can come with your bookish bestie or come on your own. The whole day is designed to make conversation easy, so you won’t be left awkwardly wondering who to talk to. Standard and VIP tickets are available, with VIP including additional collectible extras and upgraded goodies. If your idea of a good day involves books, fictional men, spice, laughter and being surrounded by people who completely understand why your TBR is out of control, you’ll fit right in.
