Gather at the turning of the seasons to honour what has ripened, release what is ready to go & tend the light we carry into the months ahead AUTUMN EQUINOX CEREMONY An embodied journey of balance, movement, rhythm & sound Saturday 26 September | 3–7pm At the Autumn Equinox, we arrive at a moment of balance. A threshold where day and night meet in equal measure before the seasons begin their gradual turn towards the darker months. We invite you to gather with us for an afternoon of ritual, movement, ecstatic dance and sound as we honour this seasonal turning point together. Through candlelight and intention, embodied movement, rhythm, deep listening and rest, we will explore the balance between light and dark. Celebrating what has ripened and come to fruition, releasing what we are ready to leave behind and tending to the light we wish to carry with us into the season ahead. OUR JOURNEY ARRIVE — Opening Circle We begin by arriving into the space, grounding together and connecting to the meaning and energy of the Autumn Equinox. ILLUMINATE — Candle-Lighting Ritual Gathering in circle, we will share a ceremonial flame, passing the light from one person to another. As each candle is illuminated, you will be invited to pause, reflect and set an intention for the season ahead — creating a growing circle of collective light. EMBODY — Movement From ritual, we move into the body. Nahdeannah will guide a grounding, yoga-inspired movement practice to awaken the body, connect with the breath and prepare us to move more freely. EXPRESS — Ecstatic Dance Fatima (DJ Hali) will take us into an uplifting ecstatic dance journey, weaving together rhythms inspired by the rich musical traditions of the African diaspora — an invitation to follow the intelligence of the body, move beyond words and express whatever is ready to be moved, celebrated or released through rhythm and dance. No dance experience is needed. There are no steps to learn and no choreography to follow — simply an invitation to meet yourself through movement and music. RECEIVE — Sound Journey From movement into stillness, Nahdeannah and Fatima will weave together an immersive sound journey, inviting the body to soften, receive and rest as sound and vibration fill the space. INTEGRATE — Reflection, Nourishment & Connection We will allow time for quiet reflection and journalling before coming back together to close our circle. We will then share some seasonal nourishment and refreshments, with space to connect with one another before heading back into the world.
