Dalston Song Club: Blasus

Doors 6:45 PM, Music 7:15 PM – 1 set of music About: Blasus (Welsh: ’tasty/delicious’) are an emerging UK genre bending, alt-folk band based in London and South Wales. Led by Welsh vocalist and songwriter Emma Davidson, Blasus comprises six musicians who met through the jazz, folk and alternative music scenes. From their roots at music college in Wales, they showcase a unique, personal sound, celebrating their stylistic diversity. “Silk Fishes” is Blasus’ debut album, defying categorisation by presenting a diverse soundscape with emotional and complex storytelling at its heart. Capturing themes surrounding loss of identity, love, and personal exploration, this album aims to take the listener through feelings of reflection and self acceptance.
