Kintsugi with Dotty by Design: Camden Inspire 2026

An introduction to Kintsugi, the ancient and mindful art of mending broken china with a golden seal. Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery using a special tree-sap lacquer mixed with powdered gold. Instead of hiding cracks, Kintsugi celebrates them with shining decoration, telling the story of the object's history. A way to tap in to traditional methods that could help shape our sustainable, considered future. This workshop is part of Camden Inspire 2026, a festival of creative workshops, talks and activities exploring how our communities can come together to build a fairer, healthier and more resilient future in a changing climate.
