Lalique | A Passion for Glass: A Private Collection Part Two

Lyon & Turnbull presents a public exhibition and auction viewing dedicated to the celebrated French glassmaker René Lalique, featuring the final instalment of A Passion for Glass: A Private Collection. As part of Lyon & Turnbull's 200th anniversary celebrations, the viewing brings together an exceptional selection of Lalique glass, jewellery and decorative objects, showcasing the extraordinary craftsmanship and imagination of one of the most influential designers of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. At its heart is a remarkable private collection assembled over more than three decades by a London collector. The collection features Lalique's distinctive use of clear, frosted, stained, opalescent and coloured glass, expressed through vases, car mascots, statuettes, clocks and perfume bottles. Further highlights include rare Libellules and black Épines boxes, alongside sought after vase designs such as Tortues, Montlhéry and Champagne, as well as jewellery, paperweights and tableware. Open to the public ahead of the Lalique auction on 29 October, the viewing offers an opportunity to discover the artistry, innovation and enduring appeal of René Lalique's work, and to speak with Lyon & Turnbull's specialists.
