The Matter of Threads Part 3 exhibition features Ema Mano Epps, Jyoti Bharwani, Aleksandra Niemczyk, and Sonja Kresojevic. These four artists share a deep dedication to material and sensory inquiry. They explore the unseen currents, transformations, and relationships that shape our existence. Crucially, each artist is completely fearless of vulnerability. Epps grounds her work in the quiet weight of fading moments. Bharwani balances elements to mirror the wider universe. Niemczyk investigates the fading patinas of time and memory. Kresojevic navigates the fluid terrain of identity and belonging. Together, they operate beyond dominant narratives and reject a fixed, final state. Instead, they embrace movement, transition, and the tactile recording of human experience. The common thread here is a commitment to living experiments. By following what is alive, these artists focus on what emerges when certainty falls away. Ultimately, they invite us to discover what new worlds can be woven when we meet life as we truly are. Manifesto Matter of Threads collective aims to break down systematic hierarchies and facilitate room for curiosity, growth and renewal. The collective is where process, materiality, relationships and time intertwine into something new, powered by each artists vulnerability. Mediums of earth, thread, paint, pigment, video and sculpture, explore abstract languages - facilitating organic connections. By stepping into the unknown we find something unexpected and grounding, hopeful and joyous. When preexisting rules and boundaries fall away, we are left with the freedom to weave a new world together, our global roots make sure of that.Our deep inherited histories and lived experiences (spanning North Macedonia, Sindh, Poland, and Yugoslavia are embedded in our very being, honoring ancestral trauma while transcending it to weave a positive new world.
