Modelling Sculpture in Wax (Thurs & Fri, 12 - 13 Nov 2026)

This two day course is an introduction to working with sculpture modelling waxes. It is a fantastic opportunity to explore different techniques - from modelling to construction and casting. Look at ways of preparing a finished wax for metal casting. Follow instructions for the safe handling of hot wax and the tools and equipment best suited for modelling wax sculpture. Day Two Cast waxes from plaster two-piece moulds of your own making Experiment with modelling wax over plaster cores. It would be ideal for participants to bring along ideas, sketch books or small models they would like to make and any reference materials for ideas.
