🌿 Nao Step Warriors — EPIC Hike 🌿London LOOP Section 5: Hamsey Green to Coulsdon South 👣✨ 📅 Saturday 26 September 2026⏰ Meet: 9:30am🚶🏾‍♀️ Depart: 10:00am sharp 📍 Meeting point: Hamsey Green information board, near The Good Companions pub 🚌 Getting there: Take the 403 bus and get off at Hamsey Green. When travelling from Croydon, the bus stops near East Croydon Station and at Sanderstead Station before reaching Hamsey Green. 🥾 HIKE DETAILS 📏 Distance: 10.1 km⛰️ Elevation gain: Approximately 289 metres⏳ Walking time: Approximately 3–4 hours🗺️ Route type: Point-to-point🏁 Finish: Coulsdon South Station 🟠 DIFFICULTY: AMBER — MODERATE This is not a flat park walk. Expect hills, climbs and descents, uneven woodland paths, open fields and some paved sections. The ground may be muddy or slippery if it has been raining. Suitable for regular walkers and active beginners who are comfortable walking for several hours over mixed and hilly terrain. We walk as a group, but you should have a reasonable level of fitness and suitable footwear. 🌳 THE ROUTE We’ll travel through the Sanderstead to Whyteleafe countryside, Riddlesdown, woodland, Coulsdon Common, Happy Valley, Devil’s Den Woods and Farthing Downs. 🥾 WHAT TO WEAR Walking boots or sturdy, grippy footwear Waterproof jacket Comfortable layers suitable for the weather A small backpack 🍌 FOOD AND WATER Please bring: 💧 Plenty of water🍫 Snacks🥪 A packed lunch💊 Any personal medication you may need 🚻 TOILET INFORMATION Toilet and café facilities are limited along the route. Please use the toilet before beginning your journey to Hamsey Green.
