Full description from organizerShow less
The Gerald Moore Gallery is delighted to present NOW 2026, a group exhibition featuring new and exciting work by recent graduates, running from 6 to 21 November 2026. The private view will take place on Friday 6 November, from 6–8pm. This will be the sixth edition of NOW: New Original Work. The annual exhibition is an initiative that aims to spotlight emerging artistic talent and provide a stepping stone for artists transitioning from education to professional practice. Past editions have featured artists including Josef Yaeger, Alexandra Searle, Hanne Peeraer, Krystle Patel, Kainoa Gruspe, Abdulmohsen Al Bin Ali, Zinong Zhang, and Sean Synnuck. This year’s edition is being presented as an open call and includes a larger cohort than in previous editions. Seventeen artists, showing 22 artworks, were invited to exhibit from a submission of more than 200 artworks. The exhibiting artists include: Aleksandra Adamczyk, Tania Ali, Dheeraj Balihara, Ece Batur, Zhaochen Chen, Karrisan Chua, Chloe Culley, Göncz Dalma, Yang-En Hume, Sol Lee, Briana McCharthy, Aanya Mukhtyar, Hermione Newton, Kanoko Okuwa, Amy Poliero, Sophia Rehman, and Lyra Robinson. The exhibition is open to the public every Saturday, 10am–4pm until the 21 November and on other days by appointment. To make an appointment, please email [email protected] or call 02088570448. The Gerald Moore Gallery is a centre for modern and contemporary art with learning at its heart. Opened in April 2012, in Mottingham, the gallery is uniquely set within the grounds of Eltham College and is a valuable resource for the students and the local community. The gallery has gained momentum hosting some exciting exhibitions including works by Matisse, Louise Bourgeois, and Cornelia Parker, whilst supporting emerging local artists. In unison with the exhibitions, the gallery's outreach programme works with local community groups, teachers, and schools, creating lasting relationships with our locality. Gerald Moore Gallery was made possible with the foresight and generosity of Old Elthamian, Dr Gerald Moore, many of whose works are archived at the gallery and who has a permanent exhibition on display.
