This one‑day course is ideal for anyone curious about traditional printing — whether you’re completely new to letterpress, wanting to explore a creative hobby, or considering setting up a simple home studio. You’ll receive clear, practical instruction in hand typesetting and printing on an Adana, along with guidance on press maintenance, workshop management, and what to look for when buying equipment. The session is designed to build confidence and enjoyment, making it suitable for both beginners and those looking to deepen their understanding of this classic tabletop press. Tutor: Mick Clayton Accessibility Due to the constraints of our Grade II listed building, the workshop is currently only accessible via 14 steps from our 14 Bride Lane entrance. Email [email protected] for details. Booking & Payment Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place on a workshop. Workshop places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved without payment. Refund Policy Workshop tickets are non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and at the sole discretion of St Bride Foundation. Supporting documentation may be requested. Rescheduling If you are unable to attend your booked workshop, we may be able to transfer your booking to an alternative date for the same workshop. Requests to reschedule must be made in writing at least 14 days before the workshop date. Rescheduling is subject to availability and can only be offered where a suitable future date is available. Requests received less than 14 days before the workshop date will not normally be eligible for transfer.
