Out Of Your Head. Onto The Page: Two-Part Writing Workshop

A two-part writing course with novelist and writing coach Rosie Storey Two relaxed, one-hour evening sessions for anyone who wants to put pen to paper and explore simple ways into writing. Please note: your ticket is for both parts of the workshop (7th and 14th of October). Week 1, Wednesday 7th October: Noticing and Detail Week 2, Wednesday 14th October: From Observation to Scene Through a series of exercises, Rosie will guide you through freewriting, observation, setting and character, looking at how writers notice the world around them and combine observation with imagination to create fiction. Between the sessions, participants will be given a light creative assignment to gather material from everyday life. There is no pressure to share your work and no previous writing experience is needed. Please bring a notebook and pen. Rosie is a Hackney-based author and writing coach. Her debut novel, Dandelion is Dead, was published earlier this year by HarperCollins in the UK and Penguin in the US. It has been recommended by Vogue, Elle, Cosmo, Stylist, The Sunday Times Style and Oprah’s Book Club. Rosie has studied creative writing at Central Saint Martins, is a graduate of Faber Academy and holds a Master’s in Creative Writing.
