Pamina Beroff, a Paris-based French jazz singer and songwriter, returns to the UK for a special one-night performance at Hampstead Jazz Club. Trained in London and acclaimed on the European jazz scene, Pamina has been praised by FIP for her “elegant voice reminiscent of Blossom Dearie”. For this intimate duo performance, she is joined by London-based jazz pianist Liam Dunachie, described by London Jazz News as “a pianist of exceptional versatility”. Together, they will explore a carefully chosen repertoire of jazz standards, contemporary classics and a few French favourites, with fresh arrangements and plenty of room for improvisation and spontaneity. Pamina Beroff is a Paris-based French jazz singer and songwriter, trained at the Guildhall School of Music in London. After first making her mark on the London jazz scene, she returned to Paris, where she quickly established herself as a distinctive voice on the French jazz circuit. In 2022, she joined the French label Jazz Eleven, founded by pianist Giovanni Mirabassi, and released her debut EP Sides , followed by the album Unfolding , produced under the artistic direction of Eric Legnini. Unfolding received wide critical acclaim. The French press described it as “ a little gem ” (France Bleu), “ an album full of hits ” (TSF Jazz), and praised her “ elegant voice reminiscent of Blossom Dearie ” (Jazz à FIP). The album was also awarded Jazz Revelation by Jazz Magazine . Since then, Pamina Beroff has toured extensively in France and internationally with her quartet. She is currently working on a new album that reflects a more personal artistic direction, blending refined songwriting with a forward-looking, contemporary sound. For her return to Hampstead Jazz Club, she performs in an intimate duo setting with London-based jazz pianist and composer Liam Dunachie, whose playing has been described as “ highly dexterous and richly melodic ” by The Jazzmann . " There is something in her songs, in her voice and in her writing that, while occasionally recalling pop stars, remains undeniably personal and instantly engaging. Above all, she is supported by a band capable of moving from groove to ballad in the blink of an eye ” - Jazz Magazine “ this young singer with a refreshing voice — reminiscent of Lisa Ekdahl or Stacey Kent ” - TSF Jazz – David Koperhant “ He is an astonishingly versatile musician. ” — London Jazz News LINE-UP: Lead - Pamina Beroff Piano - Liam Dunachie Please note, The Club is not licensed to allow access to Children under the age of 16 after 9pm, so for evening performances, please do not book tickets for children under the age of 16.
