To celebrate International Week of Deaf People, join RAD for Photography through a Deaf lens with Becky Bailey, a hands-on workshop exploring photography, perspective and visual storytelling. What changes when you see the world through a different lens? Deaf photographer Becky Bailey will share how her Deaf experience influences the way she sees and captures the world through photography. You’ll explore different ways of looking at your surroundings and how perspective can shape the stories we tell through images. You’ll then have the opportunity to put this into practice, heading out with your own camera or phone to photograph what catches your eye and experiment with your own visual storytelling. No previous photography experience is needed — just bring a camera or smartphone and your curiosity. What to expect: • An introduction to Becky’s work and perspective as a Deaf photographer • An exploration of photography and visual storytelling • A practical photography activity • The chance to experiment with your own perspective and ideas • No previous photography experience required Tickets and donations Tickets are available with a minimum £1 donation to support RAD’s work with Deaf people and communities..
