Sage Art: Ana Mendieta at Tate Modern

Join us for a private guided tour of Tate Modern’s major Ana Mendieta exhibition. Cuban born American artist Ana Mendieta creates powerful, often ephemeral work using her body and materials including earth, flowers, fire and water. Across film, photography, performance, sculpture, painting and drawing, she explored identity, exile, nature, ritual and transformation. This is exactly the kind of exhibition that benefits from a guide. The work is beautiful and visceral, but also layered, multimedia and full of references that aren’t always immediately apparent. Our private guide will help bring the ideas, context and individual works to life. The exhibition brings together more than 120 works and is the largest presentation of Mendieta’s work ever staged in the UK, with many pieces being shown here for the first time. Your ticket includes exhibition entry and private guided tour. Place are available on a first come, first served basis. Refunds are available until 48 hours before the event. After that, I’ll do my best to offer your place to somebody else, but unfortunately can’t guarantee a refund.
