Join Made In Hackney and Mr Organic for a special fundraising supper club putting plants at the centre of our plates and communities. We are excited to have renowned chef Helen Graham curate this special fundraising feast, bringing to the table delicious plant-based recipes from her recently published cookbook, Centrepiece, described by Meera Sodha as “the most exciting thing to happen to vegetables since Ottolenghi.” Best known as the former exec chef of Bubala and creator of some of their most loved dishes, Helen has long been an active supporter of Made In Hackney, running successful masterclasses that raise funds for our community cookery school and meal service. Helen’s creativity and passion for flavour will come to life with the support of Mr Organic, whose shared commitment to delicious, organic and sustainable food makes them a natural partner for this special gathering. Your ticket includes a complimentary drink, but you’re also welcome to bring your own or purchase additional drinks from Palm 2 Deli. Alongside a delicious dinner, your ticket directly supports Made In Hackney’s kitchen to continue nourishing our communities. Since 2012, Made in Hackney has brought people together around plant-based food and practical cookery education to tackle food insecurity, health inequalities and social isolation. We’ve now reached more than half a million people, helping them build the skills and confidence to prepare nutritious, affordable meals, while creating welcoming spaces where people can connect, share knowledge and build resilience. Alongside our classes, we batch-cook meals for local people experiencing vulnerability and bring the community together through regular feasts — making nutritious, sustainable food more accessible while creating opportunities for people to connect. There’s so much more we want to do, and with your support, we can reach more people in our communities. Every ticket helps fund a place for a local resident in need to join one of our programmes.
