Bone-Waller paints people the way an actor reads a scene: mid-gesture, mid-conversation, mid-thought. Each work in The Second Stage holds a moment from what could be a contemporary folk tale — something that has just happened, is about to happen, or stays deliberately unresolved. Bone-Waller came to London to train at LAMDA, going on to work for a decade as an actor and twelve years as a clown, alongside periods of writing and music, before turning to painting in 2019. Mainly self-taught, he studied with Turps Banana from 2020 to 2022. In September 2025 he spent a week at the Fez Art Residency in Morocco, and The Second Stage includes his first paintings developed from that visit. Exhibition opening hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 09:00-17:00. Artist talk: Join Bone-Waller for a talk about his work : 1st November 2 pm.
