You won’t get those 10 minutes here. 😉 Imperial APAC Alumni Network × SpeechLab are bringing you an interactive evening of spontaneous speaking, unexpected scenarios and real-time feedback — designed to help you communicate with more clarity, confidence and impact when you don’t have time to prepare. This isn’t a sit-down-and-listen workshop. You’ll be speaking. Expect PowerPoint Karaoke, surprise prompts and spontaneous speaking challenges. You might be asked to pitch an idea you’ve just seen, make sense of an unexpected slide, present a recommendation, or respond to a question you weren’t prepared for. Speak. Get feedback. Try again. You’ll receive live, personalised feedback from experienced speaking coach, then immediately put it into practice. The exercises are fun, but the skills are very real: structuring your thoughts, presenting ideas persuasively, handling unexpected questions and thinking on your feet at work. No public-speaking experience is needed — just come ready to participate, experiment and step slightly outside your comfort zone. Places are limited to 20 participants so everyone gets the chance to speak, practise and receive feedback. Tickets are £5, helping minimise last-minute no-shows and keep the group engaged.
