Full description from organizer

Here's what recent participants have said: "This was a truly eye-opening workshop which will enhance my relationships with people. It has taught me to broaden my perceptions of people and their behaviours and to really get underneath the difficulties. I recommend this learning to everyone: in schools, in the workplace and for the benefit of personal relationships.” "Excellent, thought-provoking and useful session for anyone with an open mind. I won't forget to put the bin out now! There is no norm to neurodiversity, and you can find ways to manage yourself with self-awareness and planning." "I loved the warmth of the presenter sharing his own testimony alongside his professional and clinical explanations of ADHD. He put it all into a context that made it relatable and easy for me to understand." "Informative, interesting, amusing, helpful. When is the next one?" "I would definitely recommend this workshop." Many ADHD workshops give you a list of symptoms followed by a list of strategies. This one starts with a different question: What does ADHD actually look and feel like in your life? ADHD isn’t the same for everyone. Two people can share the same diagnosis and experience it in completely different ways. Things such as rejection sensitivity, emotional dysregulation, time blindness, rumination, burnout and shame can appear to be separate problems, or get mistaken for personality traits, character flaws or a lack of effort. What Flavour Is Your ADHD? helps you see the pattern connecting them. Wednesday 28 October10.00am–12.00pmThe Glebe House London£25 per person A different way of understanding ADHD WFIY doesn’t ask you to fit yourself into a standard ADHD profile. It helps you build a clearer picture of how your own patterns work: what fits, what helps, what gets in the way and where practical change might begin. It brings strengths and difficulties into the same picture. The same pattern can be useful in one situation and costly in another. This is closer to lived experience than treating ADHD as either a disorder or a superpower. The process moves through a simple chain: Notice it → name it → map it → understand the connections → find a workable next step What we’ll do This interactive two-hour workshop is a live introduction to the WFIY approach. You’ll see how ordinary experiences can connect, make more sense and point towards a practical next step. Together, we’ll explore: Why ADHD looks different from person to person How apparently separate frustrations can form a connected pattern Why generic advice and “trying harder” so often miss the point How the same trait can help in one context and create difficulty in another How shame and moral judgement can obscure what is actually happening How a clearer personal map can suggest more useful practical experiments You’ll also see Chaos Orchestra’s WFIY tools in action, including the written report, The Map and a preview of The Learning Experience. This is not a clinical diagnosis, a test you can pass or fail, or a collection of generic productivity hacks. You will not be expected to share anything personal. You should leave with more useful language, a clearer way of understanding your own patterns and a few practical ideas worth trying. Who it’s for This is a small, friendly workshop for: People with ADHD People wondering whether ADHD might apply to them People supporting someone with ADHD Anyone curious about understanding ADHD differently There’s no pressure to perform, disclose personal experiences or arrive with the right words. Your host Matt Thomas is an EMCC-accredited coach, crisis specialist and co-founder of Music Support. He works peer to peer with people whose attention, relationships and habits are being affected by internal noise. His work combines lived experience of ADHD, mental health, addiction and recovery with twelve years in crisis intervention and case management and twenty-five years in the music industry. Matt runs Chaos Orchestra, the psychoeducation platform behind the tools demonstrated in this workshop. This is an affirming, non-judgemental space: no diagnosing, no empty promises and nothing here gets treated as a fault. Many experiences need understanding before they can be worked with.
