Winemaker Supper Club: Piedmont, Italy with Podere Ruggeri Corsini

This October, we’re welcoming Vittoria from Podere Ruggeri Corsini for an exclusive Piedmont (Italy) Dinner in Battersea Italian wine has more personalities than you can count. One bottle is brooding and demanding, the next easy-going and generous, another sweet and contemplative. Every village has a favourite grape, every family a story, every region a rivalry. It’s a patchwork of grapes, regions, and traditions that makes Italy endlessly worth exploring. This October we’ll be exploring the Piedmont wine region with the winemaker Vittoria from Podere Ruggere Corsini with a 5-course wine dinner. Piedmont is home to some of Italy’s finest wines, including the legendary Barolo. Located in the north-west it sits at the foot of the Western Alps, which gives Piedmont the meaning of ‘the foot of the mountains’. About the Winemaker Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante decided they'd enough of their jobs in the city, so they packed it all in, studied winemaking and bought a tiny vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. They upgraded the traditional estate into an eco-friendly haven by adopting lighter bottles, handpicking, solar panels and natural waste water purification, and by massively reducing the use of chemical treatments and sulphur. What to expect After a welcome drink, Vittoria will guide you through the evening, taking you on a journey across six wines from the estate. You’ll experience the vibrancy of their Dolcetto and the storied complexity of their Barolo- six glasses in total, all paired with a five-course seasonal and Italian menu prepared by our Executive Chef. If you fall in love with the wines on the night, your ticket also includes a £40 voucher to redeem on the evening towards any case of six wines.
