A Cheesy Christmas: Wines for the Cheeseboard with Truffles Delicatessen

Hosted wine tasting. Expand below for full details. If you're anything like us you spend most of Autumn day-dreaming about the spectacular cheeseboard that you are going to serve come Christmas, full of your personal favourite cheeses and ready for you to tuck into at leisure as the festive days all blend into one. Tonight, is all about the wines that are best suited to accompany you on your cheese odyssey. Think aromatic white grapes like Gewurztraminer (which can handle a bit of Munster) and Sauvignon Blanc (which knows its way around a goats cheese), along with richly fruited reds like Burgundy (a firm friend of Comte) and Bordeaux (a wonderful bedfellow to aged Cheddar). There will of course be cheese on the table courtesy of our friends at Truffles Delicatessen and we're keeping it equally cheesy with the soundtrack so expect pop bangers and Christmas tunes... Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
