Christmas Whisky Walk & Tasting

What better way to kick off the Christmas festivities than with a leisurely stroll across Hampstead Heath with a delicious whisky in hand? Hosted by Matt Chambers, whisky journalist and presenter, and co-founder of North London Whisky Club and Whisky For Everyone website. 4x 5cl samples will be offered (that's a double pub measure x4) with detailed explanation of each whisky from Matt as we walk and talk. Each of the whiskies has been hand-selected by them to tell a story and have a warming Autumnal theme. Meet at Hampstead Underground station (Northern Line/ Edgware branch) at 2pm. We will head off from there once all guest have arrived. Two bus routes - 46 and 268 - stop nearby. The walk is approximately 2.5 miles and will see us take in Hampstead village and the famous Flask Walk before heading across Hampstead Heath. We will take in the Lime Avenue, the viewpoint, Highgate Ponds and Boating Lake, before heading up to Highgate village. We will finish in Pond Square, Highgate at approx. 4pm with provision for a post-walk drink at The Crown pub nearby. For getting home, Highgate and Archway Underground stations (both Northern Line/ High Barnet branch) are about 10-12 minutes walk away. Several local bus routes also stop very close by. * PLEASE NOTE | This is not a guided tour of Hampstead Heath but a whisky tasting event. It is a leisurely stroll to sample and learn about whisky, ask questions that you have always wanted to ask, sip and savour, and take in the scenery and fresh air. No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest. An individual North London Whisky Club hipflask for each guest (worth £10) will be provided, which is included in the ticket price for you can take it home. Please bring a bottle of water and we ask all guests to Drink Responsibly. Strictly over 18s only. Please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look close to that age. Please dress appropriate to the weather forecast as we will be outside for the full duration of the event. We keep our fingers crossed for a nice afternoon.
