Full description from organizer

Solve spooky clues, explore 17 Islington stops, collect stamps and treats, and help raise money for The Toy Project this half-term. Solve spooky clues, explore 17 Islington stops, collect stamps and treats, hunt for three hidden ghosts and help raise money for The Toy Project this October half-term. Get ready for an afternoon of clues, costumes, treats and plenty of Halloween fun as the David Astburys Islington Halloween Trail 2026 returns to Upper Street. If you’re looking for things to do with children in Islington this October half-term, this family-friendly Halloween trail is a brilliant way to get out, explore the neighbourhood and discover some of the businesses and places that make Islington so special. Beginning at the David Astburys estate agents office on Upper Street, children will collect their Halloween trail map and a series of spooky clues before setting off to uncover 17 participating stops across Islington. Solve each clue, work out where you need to go next and visit the correct local business or location to collect your stamp. There’ll also be treats, surprises and plenty of Halloween fun waiting at selected stops along the way. This year’s trail brings together a fantastic mix of independent Islington businesses, local organisations, familiar landmarks and even Islington Fire Station, making it a proper neighbourhood adventure from start to finish. Can you find the three hidden ghosts? This year, children will have something extra to keep an eye out for. We’ll be hiding three spooky ghosts somewhere along the Islington Halloween Trail. Keep looking while you’re solving the clues and exploring the 17 stops. Find all three and you’ll be in with the chance of winning a huge Halloween prize. You never know where one might be hiding... Fancy dress competition Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without the costumes, so we’d love to see everyone getting involved. Fancy dress isn’t compulsory, but it is very much encouraged, because we’ll also be running a Halloween fancy dress competition. Witches, ghosts, vampires, superheroes, pumpkins, monsters and completely original creations are all welcome. Go all out — one brilliant costume will win a huge prize. A family Halloween event in Islington this half-term The Islington Halloween Trail is designed to be a fun and affordable October half-term activity for children and families, while also encouraging people to discover some of the brilliant independent businesses and organisations right on their doorstep. It’s part treasure hunt, part Halloween adventure and a great way for families to explore Islington together. Once all the clues have been solved and the stamps collected, little explorers can return to David Astburys to claim their very well-deserved Halloween prize. Whether you live locally, regularly spend time around Upper Street or simply fancy trying something different with the kids this half-term, the trail is a brilliant way to experience Islington from a completely different perspective. Raising money for The Toy Project Most importantly, every ticket sold will help support The Toy Project, an incredible local charity that gives unwanted toys a new life by recycling and redistributing them to children and families who need them. All proceeds from the Islington Halloween Trail will be donated directly to The Toy Project. So while children are solving clues, collecting stamps, hunting for ghosts and getting dressed up for Halloween, they’ll also be helping support something genuinely meaningful. Gather the family, dig out the Halloween costumes and get ready for an afternoon of spooky clues, local discoveries, hidden ghosts and plenty of fun around Islington. We cannot wait to see you there!
