Sashiko Mending with Tamsin Lines (CSM Alumni)

Drawing on traditional repair methods while reimagining them for tomorrow, we'll use reclaimed and second-hand fabrics to create decorative patchwork and explore visible mending, hand darning, repairing hems, replacing buttons and other practical techniques. Participants can experiment with the materials provided or bring along their own garment for repair assessment. Everyone will leave with a practical toolkit of hand-sewn repair skills, feeling inspired and confident to continue upcycling at home. This workshop is part of Camden Inspire 2026, a weekend of creative workshops, talks and activities exploring how our communities can come together to build a fairer, healthier and more resilient future in a changing climate.
