Wild Life Drawing: Amazing Owls

Join us for a spooky drawing session with a selection of amazing owls! Owls are often associated with darkness or are said to signify bad omens, but in reality they are charming, fascinating birds and often incredibly cute! We'll meet a barn owl, also known as a ghost owl. With their incredible eyesight, these nimble hunters can spot their prey even on the darkest winter nights. We'll also be joined by an eagle owl, with their glowing orange eyes and piercing stare. Finally we will draw a great grey owl, gigantic and majestic with furry feet to keep warm in their cold climates. The class will be led by nature-loving artist Jennie Webber. We will provide you with all the materials you need to get started, and Jennie will be on hand with plenty of creative advice, drawing from her 10 years teaching the process of sketching animals from life. The most important thing for you to know is that there is no pressure at our classes- we believe that once we stop worrying about the outcome, drawing can be enjoyable for everyone. Important information All abilities are welcome, and all artistic styles are celebrated. All materials are provided: paper, drawing boards and a range of pencils, pens, pastels and colours. Our goal is for you to leave with not only some lovely drawings, but also a greater understanding and appreciation of the animals you’ve drawn. About Wild Life Drawing Wild Life Drawing we are a small team dedicated to animal welfare and conservation. We only ever work with the finest animal handlers, who treat their animals with care and respect, and healthy animals who are happy around humans. The falconer bringing the owls is an expert in their care and regularly works alongside the RSPCA to rescue and rehabilitate wild raptors. About Camley Street Natural Park Camley Street Natural Park is a unique urban nature reserve, having been saved from development and opened to the public in 1985.
