Auris Festival: Sunday Day Pass

Day tickets are now on sale for Auris, Manchester's first dedicated sound art festival! The Sunday Day Pass gives you access to the final day of Auris, with Lola de la Mata, Ryoko Akama and WEȽ∝KER among the programme across Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor. Sunday Day Pass: £30 | Student & Low Income: £22.50 Sunday 11 October 2026 11:00–20:00 (doors open 10:00) Locations: SEESAW, The Anthony Burgess Foundation, The Renold Building at SISTER and SODA, Manchester Metropolitan University SUNDAY PROGRAMME Performances On the final day of Auris, Lola de la Mata brings her custom-built Tacet Friction Harp to the festival with TAC(I)ET: and implied silence. Ryoko Akama presents shimatsu (始末), an intimate performance using objects, domestic appliances and electronic devices, before WEȽ∝KER close the festival with an enhanced quadrophonic live performance built around highly improvised systems. Talks & Workshops Jez riley French opens Sunday with Choreographies of Perception, an informal talk exploring extended technologies, durational listening and sounds often outside human attention. Kamila Narysheva and Vicky Clarke explore the sonic and historical legacy of nuclear testing in Kazakhstan through an artist talk, archival material and film screening. Emma Margetson presents Diffuse Architectures: Sound, Space, and the IKO loudspeaker, using the twenty-faced IKO loudspeaker as a spatial instrument to explore the relationship between sound, architecture and perception. Soundwalk Maya Chowdhry leads Sonic Shadows, a creative soundwalk using microphones and biodata sonification to uncover hidden sounds, textures and resonances across Manchester's landscape. Installations Explore immersive sound installations on display across the festival: Wajid Yaseen's Seven Sisters, a participatory sound installation incorporating vintage test oscillators; and Kamila Narysheva and Vicky Clarke's T ½ (Half-Life), examining post-nuclear landscapes through sound and field recordings from the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site. Spatial Audio A curated spatial audio listening programme runs alongside the day's live events, featuring recorded work from Brona Martin, Text-Sound-Art, Miko Tchórzewski, Marcus Decker, Bernard Kelly, Totaleee, Horse Lords, Nye Parry, Cameron Naylor, Arconic Sound, Scald, Jose Macabra and Mick Harris.
