Bronte themed printmaking workshop - Solar plate etching

Make your own Brontë themed prints using UV light and light sensitive plates! Brontë themed printmaking workshop - Solar Plate Etching Join me in Haworth for a fun, Brontë inspired session exploring the magic of solar plate etching! This in-person workshop invites you to dive into the world of printmaking, where you'll create unique prints using light-sensitive plates. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, it's a great chance to experiment and get creative. You will leave with your plate and an A5 print of your chosen design. Inspiration images will be provided, but please bring your own A5 images if you have your own design in mind! Please contact me in advance if you don't have a printer and want me to bring your image along. Whilst the session is listed as Brontë inspired due to the location, you are welcome to make any image that you wish. For guidance, I would recommend making your images more on the simple side rather than having intricate detail. This technique works best if lines are no less than 1-2mm thick. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. A table will be reserved at Cobbles and Clay cafe for lunch. Own food cannot be consumed in the cafe, however there are plenty of independant food venues to choose from and you are welcome to eat a packed lunch in the studio.
