Halloween Decoration Making for Neurodivergent Young People - Half Term Fun

In this session, you will be given a selection of small wooden Halloween items for you to hand paint, decorate and make to take home. My:ND Space CIC is a supportive and creative place for the Neurodivergent community. Join us in our community hub for a fun and creative workshop where you'll be able to have a go at painting and decorating a set of wooden xmas decorations to take home. This is a small and sensory friendly workshop with no more than 7 participants. We provide all materials and refreshments, and a safe space to share. We're asking for a £10 ticket contribution (excluding booking fee)to cover some of the operational costs incurred for our project. This helps us to keep providing this much needed space within our community, and covers the cost of materials used in the session. If you have some ideas in mind, please feel free to bring along a picture or design you'd like to work from. This session can be quite messy, therefore it is advised to wear clothes you don't mind getting ink on - we do have some aprons or you can bring your own if you wish. Due to the popularity of our sessions, if you do book but then can't make it for any reason then please let us know so we can open your space up to others. This workshop is for ages 10 - 17 of any gender identity, who consider themselves to be neurodivergent. No formal diagnosis is needed. You do need to be able to work independently as you will be expected to be able to work unsupervised (this is not 1-1 tuition), to keep yourself safe and to be able to do your own work safely. PLEASE NOTE - We do take photographs during our workshops to evidence our work to potential funders - if this is a problem please let us know. If you have special dietry requirements it is advisable to bring your own refreshments. The session will be run by Simone, who is a Neurodivergent artistic Community and Youth worker. There are a maximum of 7 spaces available for this session. We have a strict refund policy - if you cancel less than 7 days before the event date then we won't be able to offer any refunds - this is because we are not-for-profit and we still have to cover our operational costs.
