Platonic Touch — Part 1: Hugging Basics

A gentle introduction to personal comfort, boundaries and connection through self-trust, sensory preference and low-pressure contact. 🙏🏼 Hugging Basics starts with y o u ~ Rather than beginning with other people, we’ll first explore self-contact, soft objects, personal space and proximity — noticing what yes, no, maybe, more and enough feel like for you. From there, we’ll gradually introduce simple relational practices and a small amount of optional contact, with no pressure to progress towards more touch. There will be a quiet processing break part-way through, and we’ll finish with time to land and reorient together. 🌻 What to wear — Comfortable clothing you can sit, lie and move around in. What to bring — A water bottle, journal and pen. Mats, cushions, blankets and other soft props will be available. Late arrival — Because the opening agreements form part of the consent container, later entry may not be possible once the session has begun. ✨ Every gender is welcome. 🌈 This is an 18+ beginner-friendly session, and no previous experience is needed. This is not therapy or trauma treatment. Come for this session on its own, or follow an arc through two or three events in the series.
