The Heavy Jets: A Tribute to Matty Johnson

The Heavy Jets & BIG FIGURE pay tribute to the legendary Matty Johnson, with all proceeds supporting CALM Charity. Now and then, we lose a brother. Such an easy phrase to use on a night out, but sometimes it means something else. Something bigger. Someone you shared a stage with, your life with, a sweaty old box of a practice room with, in Byker, on a shit grim Tuesday night in January, dreaming of the summer. Someone who was there when none of us really knew where any of it was going, and it didn’t fucking matter anyway. He was one of us. He still is, and always will be. For the songs we left behind, for the amazing music we made, and for the friendship we had, this one is for you mate. See you down the road, bro. We know you’ll be watching. With us always. Howay up if ya fancy it! The Heavy Jets & BIG FIGURE. In loving memory of Matty Johnson. All proceeds from the night will go to CALM. TICKETS ON SALE NOW! Age Restriction - 14 +, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. With love and respect. The Heavy Jets x
