Nene Wetlands Wildlife Wander (4th November)

Find out more about the wonderful Nene Wetlands nature reserve with our knowledgeable volunteers. Join one our knowledgeable volunteers for our monthly Wildlife Wander and explore our biggest Northamptonshire nature reserve, the Nene Wetlands. The walk often includes a visit (weather permitting) to Wilson's Pits, a stunning area of lakes, meadows and reed beds which is usually inaccessible to the public to protect its sensitive wildlife inhabitants. • Binoculars will be available to borrow for the duration of the walk, but please bring your own if you have some. • Please meet us outside our Nene Wetlands Visitor Centre at Rushden Lakes, located on the boardwalk (5 hours free parking is available). Please note the visitor centre will be closed on this date due to our exciting refurbishment! • Paths may be slippery and uneven in places so please ensure you wear suitable footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather. • Spaces are limited and online booking is strongly recommended (booking fee applies). If we have space, we may be able to accommodate walk-ups, however, an additional £1 admin fee will apply in these instances. • Most suitable for 7+. Under 18s will need to be accompanied by a guardian. Sign up as a member today to receive discounts on our events, alongside other perks too. By signing up you'll also be helping us protect local wildlife and help fight the rapid declines in wildlife across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. Find out more and join here.
