An Evening With Attila The Stockbroker

After a storming sell out gig a while back, Attila the Stockbroker returns with loads of poems from his new book ‘Fiery Words for Hellish Times’ plus songs, dub poetry and a bit of early music. Attila the Stockbroker is recognised for pioneering the fusion of punk poetry with early music instrumentation — creating a durable form of political satire that ties radical history to contemporary dissent through relentless live performance. John Baine (Attila the Stockbroker) is an English punk poet, multi-instrumentalist, musician, and songwriter whose career blends confrontational street poetry with a painstaking early-music sensibility. Known for solo performances and for leading the band Barnstormer 1649, he builds a reputation as a relentlessly touring DIY performer and a satirical chronicler of politics and culture. Over decades, he expands his work across recordings, poetry books, and live stage shows while maintaining a direct, performer-first relationship with audiences.
