Astrid Williamson and Jules Maxwell

An evening of songs, folk-infused electronics and neoclassical elegance from two ex-Dead Can Dance keyboard players. Drawing on their shared history as keyboard players with Dead Can Dance, Astrid Williamson and Jules Maxwell, join forces to create an evening of evocative folk-infused electronics and neoclassical elegance. Performing songs from Williamson’s acclaimed album Shetland Suite (voted #1 folk album of 2024 by Mojo Magazine) and Maxwell’s instrumental Nocturnes album (described by Brendan Perry as “A beautiful work of reflective, sophisticated elegance”), Williamson and Maxwell create a mesmerising, deeply moving sonic space where haunting melodies, cyclical rhythms and cinematic depth collide.
