Join me and paint and decorate your very own sign with a word that resonates. No experience need- just the joy of being creative Decorative Sign Workshop – Norwich Choose a word. Make it yours. Join artist Danielle Neale for a relaxed creative day exploring words, colour, pattern and decorative painting. You’ll choose a word that resonates with you — something that inspires, strengthens or simply makes you smile — and transform it into your own hand-painted decorative sign on reclaimed wood. Using my Flourish sign as inspiration, I’ll show you how to build decoration around your chosen word. You can work with my collection of stencils, learn simple hand-painted floral and folk-inspired motifs, add borders and flourishes or go completely freestyle. No two signs will be the same. You’ll leave with a finished piece that feels completely personal to you, ready to hang at home. All my workshops are friendly, relaxed and welcoming. No previous painting experience is needed. What you’ll do I’ll guide you through choosing and positioning your word, exploring colour with Annie Sloan paints, painting and ageing your reclaimed wooden board, creating your lettering, and then developing your own decorative design. You’ll have access to my collection of stencils and decorative motifs, and I’ll also demonstrate some simple flowers, leaves, borders and flourishes that you can paint freehand. Use as much or as little guidance as you like — this is your sign and there are no identical finished pieces to copy. All materials, tuition and refreshments are included. A creative day with meaning This is about more than painting a sign. It’s a chance to spend a few hours making, experimenting and creating something that means something to you. People say they leave feeling relaxed, inspired and proud of what they’ve created. “Loved being creative in a supported space… I’m so pleased with my piece!” “A wonderful afternoon — inspiring, friendly and welcoming.” Practical details Location The Old Cookes Piano Shop St Benedicts Street, Norwich (next to The Bicycle Shop) Time 12:00pm – 5:00pm (Arrive from 11:45pm) Important information • A meaningful word or words (up to 8 letters) • Some close detail work is involved — please bring glasses if you use them Spaces Limited Workshops are kept small to create a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
