Nightscape photography workshop

Join astrophotographer Paul Haworth at Cley Marshes for a hands-on nightscape photography workshop under the dark North Norfolk skies. Paul Haworth, an award-winning landscape astrophotographer and filmmaker based in the Cambridgeshire Fens, leads this hands-on evening of nightscape photography at Cley Marshes. Paul will start with the basics: handling your camera in the dark, focus and exposure. Then the group heads out onto the reserve itself for three hours of practical shooting under the dark North Norfolk skies, a rare chance to experience Cley after hours. This event is suitable for beginners and experienced photographers. As an event attendee, you will be eligible for free parking. Essential items to bring: Camera (DSLR or Mirrorless) with charged battery and spare if you have it Camera memory card (with space!) A wide lens (14mm to 50mm range) – ideally reasonably fast but kit lens is also fine A sturdy tripod with ballhead A head torch with a red setting Warm, wind proof clothing, gloves and hat Sturdy footwear / boots Optional items: Star tracker External intervalometer Hot drink in a flask Accessibility We want our events, and nature itself, to be accessible to everyone.
