With Dr David Knight, Head of Research and Dr Steve Malone, Senior Researcher at York Archaeology Thursday 12 November, 1-2pm Djanogly Theatre £4.50 (free concessions) Rising in Biddulph Moor in Staffordshire, the River Trent flows for 210km towards its confluence with the Humber Estuary, forming a natural divide between the upland and lowland zones of Britain. We will discuss how this unique river system evolved, the spread of early hunter-gatherers and the social, economic and landscape transformations associated with Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age farmers.
