Guided Tree & Seed Walk at Sherwood Heath

Join Izzy from the Sherwood Seedbank, Sherwood’s only Community Tree Nursery, for a gentle guided walk through beautiful Sherwood Heath. During this relaxed 1.5 hour session, you’ll discover more about our native broadleaf trees, why they matter, how to identify them, and the important role they play in supporting wildlife and protecting landscapes. Meet us at the picnic benches on Sherwood Heath at 10am. If seeds are available on the day, there’ll also be an opportunity to help collect tree seeds for the community nursery 🌱 We'll be looking for Wild Cherry, Rowan, Crab Apple, Hawthorn and Gorse. Great for beginners and nature lovers, suitable for all ages. This event is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, Awards for All, to help expand our Tree Nursery and inspire more people to get involved in caring for their local environment. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential due to limited numbers.
