VOCAL RECITAL: Rebecca Temple (soprano) and Timothy Uglow (piano)

A varied programme of beautiful vocal music for the new academic year. As a new academic year begins, this programme reflects on transition, change and renewal through music spanning three centuries - from the quiet intensity of Bach and Clara Schumann to the wit of Handel, the melancholy of Wolf and the vivid colours of Quilter. It concludes with Margaret Bonds’ joyful He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands, celebrating connection, possibility and the world around us. Performed by Director of Music, Timothy Uglow, and Rebecca Temple, whom we welcome to Worksop College as a new member of the music department. This concert invites us to pause, reflect and look ahead with curiosity and optimism.
