Weleda Medicinal Garden Tour September

We are delighted to be welcoming visitors to the Weleda biodynamic gardens in Ilkeston for guided tours and a special sneak peek behind the scenes. Get closer to nature as you explore our living landscape, from medicinal plant beds bursting with purpose to species-rich meadows, productive crop fields and tranquil woodlands. Along the way, you’ll discover how biodiversity is woven throughout the site, how composting plays a vital role in building healthy, living soils, and how biodynamic principles guide everything we do – working in harmony with nature rather than against it. Join us for a gentle wander, a deeper understanding of the plants that support wellbeing, and a chance to experience the beauty and balance of biodynamic gardening in action. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a warm and dry day! And here is some useful info for your tour: ∙ This tour is for people over 18 years. People over 16 years are allowed if accompanied by an adult. ∙ Wearing the correct footwear is really important. The ground is uneven and we will be walking across meadows and fields. Ideally wear walking boots. White shoes may not remain white by the end of the day and open toed sandals are not recommended. ∙ Please wear suitable clothing for being outside on the day (dress for four seasons!) ∙ We have a NatSol compost toilet on-site. ∙ The Field is not in the centre of Ilkeston. Our 13-acres of gardens are located in Shipley. Please see instructions below. ∙ Apologies, but we do not allow dogs on-site to protect our wildlife. Start time: We start the garden tour at 11:00am and will finish roughly about 12:30pm. Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour is due to commence, can we ask that you do not arrive before 10:45. Goody bags Once the tour finishes, everyone booked on the tour will receive a small Weleda goodie bag and a voucher to use in our Weleda Shop in Ilkeston.
